CRC celebrated its eleventh annual Celebrate Los Angeles Reinvestment awards ceremony and reception at the Empress Pavilion in Los Angeles’ Chinatown on Thursday, November 3, 2011. At the event, CRC honored three community heroes for their contributions to Los Angeles's communities. CRC honored consumer attorney Dorothy Herrera Settlage, Communities for Cleaner Ports, and UNIDAD (United Neighbors in Defense Against Displacement). CRC celebrated its eight annual Celebrate Sacramento Valley Reinvestment event at The Firehouse Restaurant in Old Sacramento on Thursday, October 6, 2011. At the event, CRC honored Grantland Johnson, Transitional Living Support, and Kathy Tescher of the North Franklin Business District Association.

On May 5, 2011, CRC celebrated its 25th anniversary at the historic Rotunda building in Oakland, California. Surrounded by members, allies, friends, and founders, we celebrated our 25 years, and the continuing dedication and hard work of community heroes. At the event, CRC honored the Home Defenders League, Shirley Hochhausen, San Diego City Council, and Tenants Together for their work in bringing economic justice to California's low income communities and communities of color.
