Alan Fisher, Executive Director

Alan Fisher has been the executive director of the California Reinvestment Coalition (CRC) since 1992. Before CRC, Alan was a labor and community activist, writer, small-business person, management consultant, electronic repairman, researcher, college lecturer and foundation staffer.

Alan has written and contributed to CRC reports on small business lending, payday lending, affordable housing, mortgage redlining, small business technical assistance and other community issues.

Alan is on the Board of Directors of the National Community Reinvestment Coalition and Centro del Pueblo. He has an M.B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles and a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Kevin Stein, Associate Director

Kevin Stein is the Associate Director of the California Reinvestment Coalition. At CRC, Kevin works on banking and housing issues, including efforts to fight predatory mortgage lending and foreclosure through negotiation with banks, regulatory and legislative advocacy, public education, support for local initiatives, and action research. Kevin is the primary author of several CRC reports relating to subprime lending, foreclosure, loan modification and access to credit.

Before coming to CRC, Kevin was Supervising Attorney at the East Palo Alto Community Law Project and Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School, working on community economic development issues. Prior to that, he worked at HomeBase, a law and social policy center on homelessness. Kevin is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, and Stanford University. Kevin was a member of the Federal Reserve Board’s Consumer Advisory Council in 2011, and currently sits on the board of directors of the Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA).

Andrea Luquetta, Policy Advocate

Andrea Luquetta is CRC's Policy Advocate. In addition to working with major banks to increase access to affordable consumer banking accounts and to improve compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act, Andrea also fights against predatory consumer financial products and practices.

Andrea joined CRC after several years as a litigator at Western Center on Law and Poverty, where she enforced affordable and fair housing laws on behalf of extremely low income tenants throughout California.  As a former organizer, Andrea also helped lead a statewide coalition of advocates working to identify and end impediments to fair housing across California.

Andrea graduated UCLA School of Law's Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy where she also completed a Concentration in Critical Race Studies. Prior to attending law school, Andrea was an advocate for affordable housing development and CRA compliance at the Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations and at New Jersey Citizen Action.

Liana Molina, Payday Campaign Organizer

Liana Molina is CRC's Payday Campaign Organizer. Liana leads CRC’s campaign to stop predatory payday lending. She is working at a state and local level to change public policy and build the movement against predatory lending.

Liana has worked as an organizer with the Oakland-based East Bay Alliance for a Sustainable Economy (EBASE) and a leader of Oakland Rising. She has experience working with diverse alliances including labor unions, community organizations, advocacy groups, faith leaders, and students. Liana holds a B.A. in Sociology from Santa Clara University.

Kristina Bedrossian, Media and Development Coordinator

Kristina Bedrossian is CRC's Media and Development Coordinator. Kristina administers CRC's press outreach, fundraising, and grant-writing activities. She serves as the first point of contact for external communications.

Kristina has varied professional experiences in research and analysis, program organizing, media outreach, and fundraising. Prior to joining CRC, Kristina interned at the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles where she worked on multiple policies and programs aimed at creating jobs and increasing energy efficiency in Los Angeles. Kristina holds an M.P.P. from UCLA and a B.A. from UC Berkeley.

Amelia M. Martínez C., Office and Marketing Manager

Amelia M. Martínez C. joined the California Reinvestment Coalition team in 2009 as the Office and Marketing Manager.  Amelia is currently in the Master's of Nonprofit Administration program at the University of San Francisco, where she also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  She has over 13 years experience working in the nonprofit sector with experience in office management, program evaluation, training coordination, research consultant, data management & analysis, translation and interpreting (Spanish.)

Prior to joining CRC, Amelia worked with various local and nation-wide non-profit organizations.  Most recently she worked on a three year evaluation project which sought to improve the health of agricultural workers and their families in Monterey and Tulare County by promoting civic engagement, community efficacy, and strengthening connections between community-based organizations and public agencies.
