Wachovia Bank
Wachovia Bank is the fourth largest bank in assets in the United States, and is now one of the largest banks in California. Wachovia has total assets of $521 billion nationally, with 146 branches and $36.5 billion in deposits in the state of California. The Bank does small business, mortgage, multifamily, consumer and other lending as well as community investments and charitable grants. It has grown in California as a result of recent acquistions of Western Financial (2005) and World Savings Bank (2006). Wachovia has agreed to a CRA commitment with CRC in 2006 during its purchase of World Savings.
